His sons, Melchior (1665-1737) and Christian (d. 1759), immigrated to America in 1709 and settled in the Conestoga region of Pennsylvania. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, Illinois, Iowa and elsewhere.
