Book excerpt: John Clark was born in about 1612 in England. He emigrated from Ipswich, Suffolk in 1634, when he was twenty-two, and settled in Boston. He married Mary before 1639, when he moved to New Haven, Connecticut. They had four children. He died in 1648. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Connecticut, Massachusetts, West Virginia, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, California and Oregon.
