Holmes. This compilation is a continuation of a series of bulletins pertaining to the same subject, but it is more condensed than previous issues Owing to the exclusion Of unimportant details. It is designed for the use of this Department and to meet the demands of a large number Of correspondents, as it contains an arrangement of the statistics and a determination of details with various comparisons that are not pre sented in any other publication.
