The pilot facility is located at the Johns Hopkins Univ. Applied Physics Lab, Laurel, MD. The NIMIC focuses on technologies that can reduce inadvertent detonation during manufacture, storage, transportation, or deployment. The NIMIC receives information in the form of technical reports, meeting papers, monographs, journal articles etc., as well as specifications (materials, systems, and environments) and test techniques and procedures.
