Book excerpt: This paper provides an overview of the geology of the Darby Lake and Arrowsmith River area, located south-west of Committee Bay, Nunavut. The area is divided into three north-east trending sub-domains, all of which are dominated by granitoid rocks. Characteristic rock types from the area are described along with the phases of regional deformation and metamorphism in the area. Implications of the findings for mineral deposits are briefly discussed.
