It provides a summary of the current situation, outlines existing evidence, describes how existing global guidelines and resolutions support the integration of rehabilitation, and proposes the steps needed to integrate rehabilitation. The objective of this publication is to raise awareness of key policy and decision makers of the importance of integrating rehabilitation into emergency preparedness, readiness, response and resilience, and to provide them with an outline of the practical steps needed in to support decision making – with a strong emphasis on preparedness.
