Book excerpt: This satire is a humorous homage to the big screen. Lots of fictional character pop up, from famous action heroes to voluptuous female leading ladies, at least in their fictitious capacity. The story is a surreal daydream of a college student who is a great cinema freak. He dreams of pirate adventures including famous actors and actresses, and he chases the famous »McGuffin« as he looks desperately for his abducted leading lady. She is kidnapped by an actor of the movie »Troi« and our hero longs for her desperately. All characters in this satire other than those in the public domain are fictitious and any resemblance to real persons, living or dead is purely coincidental. Fictitious names or names of fictitious film characters or TV characters or the actors or actresses behind those characters did not support, inspire or encourage this book. Fictional characters bear similarities to actual actors or actresses but do not represent their real counterparts. Cover pictures: artwork by the author
