It is intended to supplement the downtown comprehenive plan. Specifically, the plan recommends improvements that will enhance pedestrian activity and support development and economic growth; provides guidance for the design and implementation of streetscape improvements; complements adjacent land uses with a streetscape that supports activities occurring along the street; emphasizes the unique character and streetscape requiremements of individual downtown districts and areas; and provides the visually appealing connectivity that ties downtown districts together and creates a sense of place.
