This paper examines how organizations can implement a new process--one known as iDNA--to establish an enterprise-wide culture of innovation. In doing so, it discusses why organizations must introduce innovation into their organizational DNA; it explains how the authors' organization--India-based Satyam Computer Services, Ltd--developed iDNA, noting how the organization conducts its iDNA workshops via the snowballing method and how it uses change management to roll-out iDNA. It then identifies the challenges involved in applying the snowballing method; it describes the characteristics distinguishing a successfully implemented snowballing effort. It also details the seven critical factors for successfully practicing chainge management.
