Rabbi Aharon Hakohen of Apta collected them largely from the written works of Rabbi Yaakov Yosef Hakohen of Polani, a student of the Baal Shem Tov, who is known for having written Toldos Yaakov Yosef. This edition has been completely recompiled with copious annotations, corrections, footnotes and cross references.
