I cannot see the stranger's face distinctly, for his back is turned towards the light, but his hand rests upon my father's shoulder, and he speaks in a low voice. At the Sight of me, Aunt Esther calls out tremulously, Here's little Bessie! Come and Speak to your brother Jack, my dear. I didn't know I had a brother, I respond, in utter bewilderment.
