Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This special edition of American Patriotic tunes is being published in June of 2020. It was originally intended as a set list for Independence Day, Veteran's Day, Memorial Day celebrations. I imagined it being helpful to musicians who visit Veterans Homes and other gatherings of Seniors. Little did I imagine what this vulnerable population and their caregivers would suffer this year. I urge you to creatively bring them music, encouragement, and gratitude. At this time, the United States can feel far from united. I suggest that we neither pull apart the lyrics of these songs, looking for hypocrisy and failed ideals nor wrap our consciences in a feel-good nostalgia for days when America "was great." These are songs of hope. They express emotion and desire, and not a few prayers for help in becoming what we have long pledged to be. Let's share them and try to live up to that pledge. Honoring country, flag, and the ideals of liberty, service and sacrifice, this collection of songs is dedicated to the United States of America: her citizens past and present, and especially her veterans of service and duty. God bless America in our struggle to be a nation that is united in liberty and justice for all. Contents: America the Beautiful; The Star-Spangled Banner; Anchors Aweigh; The Army Goes Rolling Along; The Marines' Hymn; Semper Paratus (The Coast Guard March); The U. S. Air Force (Off We Go Into the Wild Blue Yonder); Battle Hymn of the Republic; Columbia the Gem of the Ocean; American Patrol; Eternal Father, Strong to Save (with bonus piano full accompaniment); America (My Country, 'Tis of Thee).
